The Price
To reserve a property, we require a reservation deposit of £500. You will be asked to pay this at the point of reservation. Should you decide not to proceed from reservation up to exchange of contracts, Percy Williams & Sons Ltd will retain 50% from the reservation deposit to cover administrative and legal costs.
A condition of reservation is that you will be expected to exchange unconditional contracts within 4 weeks of your solicitor receiving a draft contract. In order to ‘reserve’ you will need to be in a position to do this. This means you must either have a sale proceeding on your own property (which will also exchange within this timescale) or for your purchase to be financed by some other means, for example, you are a first time buyer. For our part, the price is fixed (subject to any extras) and you have exclusivity for this period.
