Salford live/work under construction
A partnership between Contour Housing Group, developer Godliman and Watson, the University of Salford and Salford City Council will construct the eight units, which will be housed in a landmark, Grade II listed building on Great Clowes Street in Lower Broughton- part of the city’s New Deal for Communities regeneration zone.
The units are targeting start up businesses as the core tenants of the development which is designed to provide employment and training opportunities for the local community.
This £1.7m scheme is located close to both Salford and Manchester city centres. Each will provide an affordable one bedroom apartment with office/work units, reception area, meeting room, library and break out areas.
All tenants of this scheme, which is expected to be ready for occupation in May 2011, will benefit from all the services offered by Contour, which is a social housing landlord.
